Bi-Curious George Store to Open in Cambridge

Bi-Curious George, the delightfully inquisitive monkey, has a famous fondness for bananas.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - With the Curious George Store back up and running, its new owners are experimenting with new ideas.

Bi-Curious George, the inquisitive and somewhat confused young monkey, and his partner, the Man with the Yellow Banana-Hammock, are widely known for their almost-too-close relationship and quasi-sexual exploits. It was only a matter of time before a savvy businessman thought it would be a good idea to open a store solely dedicated to this one book series. “I’ll never forget the first time my father read me Bi-Curious George Has Group Sex,” reminisces co-owner Jack Hoffman. “I couldn’t eat a banana for weeks.”

The new building, nestled right up against Flat Patties, will bring back these blocked childhood memories and allow them to be shared with a new generation of sexually-confused readers. From their classic reading list, including favorites like Bi-Curious George and the Tantalizing Cucumber Patch, to their Animal Magnetism Magnets and Bi-Curious George Sex Toys, this store has something for everyone.

“I feel like we’re really stimulating a lot of excitement,” said co-owner Kurt Beefrobe. “The publicity from our soft opening certainly attracted quite a crowd.”

Some locals are ambiguous to the idea. “I’m not quite sure how I feel about this,” said Cambridge resident Jill Bate. “I’m sort of attracted to the store, but I don’t feel like I should be.” Regardless of initial feelings, the owners suggest that everyone check the store out. “You’ll never know if you like it if you don’t try it,” said Beefrobe.

Local students are encouraged to apply, as they have many openings to be filled.
